Not a surprise, but Yahoo! is sending out messages to members, letting them know that they are closing down Yahoo! Briefcase on March 30th and that all files will need to be downloaded by then, or they will be lost.
Actually I forgot I even had a Yahoo! Briefcase account. It was kind of a hassle for what I needed it for. I mainly used it to upload a file that was too difficult or big to email to someone and then I had to figure out how to get them the link to download it.
Since then, services like YouSendIt.com have made this much more convenient. I guess again, Yahoo! goes for dumping something rather than evolving into a better solution.
The only thing that scares me is, if they are cleaning up server space…how long until they dump Yahoo! Mail. That will not be a happy day for me.
